Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
This is the first time I have registered to the site, I was an Alliance & Leicester Currently Account Holder From 1998 - 2002. During this time I went overdrawn and was charge the usual £50 fees each time. In Jan 2002 I went £20 over my overdraft limit which was only £200 and they automatically closed my account without telling me and charged me again and made me pay back the entire of the overdraft too.
Am I entitled to make a claim against them.
Also very rarely with First Direct do I go overdrawn, but each time I do if it is paid within one day they charge £25 and £30 thereafter, totalling £55, apart from that I currently bank with them and am happy with my service, is it still ok to make a claim.
Bad news is you can only go back 6 years, so can only claim from 2000-2002 on the A&L a/c
Good news is A&L are closing a/cs of anybody who makes a claim, so this won't affect you in the least.
