Facilties are great. I signed up to a contract for a family membership. When I was being sold the membership I asked a few questions, specific to my needs.
1) Was there any time restrictions on when my children could use the pool, as best times for me to take them was first thing in morning, or mid evening.
reply was - NO TIME RESTRICTIONS, as long as accompanied by adult.
2) Guest passes?
reply was - 2 guest passes per adult per month, that could be carried forward.
3) When do you plan to open?
reply was 1st January 2008
4) Towell hire, is it included in price? (as I am member at aztec in bristol and included there)
reply was - Yes!
5) Badminton? Table tennis?
reply was - YES!
ALL these questions were in the presence of my family including 1 adult.
The place opened 14th January 2008. Used for 4 weeks NO problems, then they have told us NO GUEST PASSES, kids can only use pool 9am to 9pm. No towell hire. NO Badminton, NO table tennis. ALL the elements that I asked about were fabricated to gain the sale.
I have raised the issue with their local management, no help! asked for regional manager to call, NO CALL. I have been accused of lieing, and they said if i continue to moan and complain they will cancel my membership!
JUST A WARNING TO ANYONE IN GLOUCESTER AREA! Get their promises in writing. Or Just avoid. I don't normally kick off about this, but have waited 2 weeks for someone to do something, it all sales sales and sales. NO customer service, and just wanted to sort this, as kids love the place. But only so much I can accept when paying top prices for exclusive facilities.
These health Clubs will promise you anything to get you to join. Once they have you they won't let you go. There are plenty of threads on this site about the unscrupolous ways they conduct business.
