    Default Bank taking money

My bank HSBCicon have taken this months mortgage paymetns from my bank account despite it being £1300 o/d (od/ limit is £500). I spoke to them in January and advised i needed to change my dd details for the mortgageicon so that it came out of my new account i have opended as i have gone into a dmpicon. I received the forms and sent them back as the lady on the phone told me that they call for the mortgage on 15th Feb instead of the 1st as i don't have any funds in my hsbc account to pay it with. The bank have now sent me a letter saying the new dd details are set up wef 01st march but have taken febs mortgage from my hcbs account thus making me nearly £2K o/d and they are alaso going to put £125 charges on it for me using it when over the limit - lady on the phone wasn't very helpful when i pointed out that they are charging me £125 for use of the account when i didn't use it or authorise any use of it - the mortgage should have come out of my new one. Sorry if i've rambled here but what do you advise me to do regarding this with hsbc - do i have a good case to a) get the charges withdrawn b) do somethign about the money they have taken?

I would send them a written complaint, and if they refuse to deal with it, send a further complaint to the Financial Ombudsmanicon Service.

i will be off site for the next month or so. if you have any problems, feel free to report the post so a moderator can help you.

I am not a qualified or practicing lawyer.

as tomterm says complain, is HSBCicon your mortgageicon provider aswell? if not might be worth giving bank a shout and see if they can recall it, send mortgageicon people a statement showing the charges when you get it and tell em to pay it as they bodged up as they were aware of bank change
