    Default Wrongfully towed away van

    Hi,

please can you help. My van got towed away last Saturday morning and I believe it was done illegaly. I live in a road which is a red route with restriction from Mondayto Friday. Thing is, half of the road is Monday to Friday and half of it is Monday to Saturday. Basically I live at number 30 and the van was parked outside my house. the Monday to Friday restriction starts from number 38 and terminates at number 22 where there is a sign that states Monday to Saturday.

When I realised they were towing the van I went out to complain and explain it is a Monday to Friday restriction zone but the parking attendand did not want to know. I asked her to come and look at the sign and explain to me where the Monday to Friday restriction applies but she refused. i also asked to specify in writing on her ticket that the vehicle was lifted from outside number 30 but again she refused. at that point all I could do was curse her but let go.

I had to go to the pound and pay £260.00 to get my van back.

I did take photos of the sign that says Monday to Friday and I will try to get the money back. Thing is you can't see from the photo in which bit of road I was parked.

I had tickets issued in the past on Saturday and did manage to get them cancelled. How shall I proceed with this? Is it correct that a certain restriction would start from where the sign is located and terminates where the next sign is?

    Thank you very much!

What location was on the pcnicon? If you had PCNs cancelled before just follow the same procedure and appeal against the tow away fee using the same defence as it obviously worked before.
