Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I just wanted to know how common it was for a bank to close someones account and recall the overdraft as a result of reclaiming bank fee's? I'm only asking because i'm a recent graduate with an £1800 overdraft so i'd be in a bit of trouble if they did. I could open a graduate account and transfer the overdraft but they need proof of income and i'm still job hunting at the moment. Does it depend on the amount being claimed? i'm only claming £260 myself so i'm hopefull they won't do this to me.
I have heard that it is trouble with other banks such as Alliance and Leicester, but have not heard of too many problems with RBOS. It is advisable to have a parachute account open just in case.
