Thread: Intelligent Finance Visa to Halifax Visa - CCA sent for old account

Now the first IF Visa I got with my IF current account and IF mortgage in 2002. However in 2005 IF wrote and advised that they were withdrawing the VISA account from the IF plan account (with the off-set interest) and offering a new Halifax Visa outside the IF plan. I duly transfered the balance to the Halifax Visa but I am unsure if I ever signed and returned the paperwork.

Back in Feb07 I wrote to Intelligent Finance and requested a copy of the credit agreement for the VISA account. Now some 11 months and a dozen letters later they have sent me the credit agreement for the first account.

Now the two accounts have different numbers. So I have written back thanks for the credit agreement, statements by creditors are binding (section 172 of Consumer Credit Act). I asked for credit agreement for Visa account ABC you have sent me the agreement for Visa account 123! I do not acknowledge any debt against Visa account ABC.

I have not made any payments to the account since March 2007.

Has anyone else had the same? There must be lots of people out there that also transfered their balances from IF Visa to a Halifax Visa with a new account number.
