    Default Wickerman vs MINT

After sending the DPA letter on 20/06, have had a response from MINT to say they've received my request which will be processed shortly. Also to confirm that they've applied my £10 payment for this to my account in error. Buffoons.

    Will keep you posted.

Received statements this morning, and in the couple of years I've had the card, the fees total £140. But it's £140 of my money, so the prelim letter goes out this afternoon with my love and best wishes.

Well, MINT have politely decided to completely ignore my preliminary request for repayment. No response at all......although their latest statement arrived on time as ever.

Have therefore sent off my letter before actionicon this morning.

    Default Re: Wickerman vs MINT

Today, one day prior to my deadline before I file on Moneyclaim, MINT respond with an offer of £56. This represents the difference between what I'm claiming and the £12 they, mistakenly, feel justified in charging.

Now, normally, I would send off a letter accepting it as an interim payment towards the total owed. However, I'm on deadline for filing on MC.

So, my question is, should I:

    a) Contact them to accept as an interim payment, informing them that I've filed a court claim for the rest.

    b) Simply file a claim for the rest without contacting them, since they've not refunded in full within the deadlines given in my preliminary and lbaicon?

    or

    c) neither of the above as you've a more suitable course of action which I should take (pease advise)...

    Thanks in advance.

Really do need some input here guys.

Regarding the last post, I contacted MINT and told them that I accept their cheque as an interim payment towards the final total, but as their deadline is up that I'll be persuing this through the courts. I decided to wait a week to see of they contacted me, which they have, but just saying that they will be in touch within the next two weeks after reviewing the situation.

So would you just press on with Moneyclaim? If I did, would I be perceived as being reasonable. having already given them at least 5 weeks to pay up in full? I sense it's just another stall tactic to drag things out a bit longer, but just wanted to see what you think.

Good for you!! I've just started to look at my charges with MINT; although it's only £40, I will claim. I did wonder about the new £12 and the stance the banks etc would take. I assume MINT will try to deduct my £12 charge and wanted to know if I should tell them to stick it. Now I know the answer's yes!!

I'm dipping my toes in the water with this one, because my other half has a list of charges a mile long with Lloydsicon TSB, so want to support him in claiming all that back!!

You assume correctly, they'll try and offer you the difference between the £20 and the £12. Stand firm. All will be fine. If you need any help, let me know.
