Is this forum just about bank charges cause if not can anyone tell me how taking a 25,000 loan out can mean paying back 42,000 even without insurance?????????
The RBOS did the same to myself. I am beginning to engage in a legal battle with them. In March 2002, the bank entrapped me into taking out a loan to pay off student ovderdrafts. The bank arranges what they call a 'financial healthcheck'. Never cooperate with the bank as it will cost you money as I learnt. The loan the bank forced on me was for £3200 and by the time the last installment will have been paid in July 2007, the RBOS will have taken £7500 from me. That is a loan with no loanguard or insurance. A bit of advice. Contact the banking ombudsmen. They are excellent at dealing with cases like ours as the Customer Relations Unit of the RBOS is useless in dealing with complaints.
