Default PPI - Mis-sold or not?

    Hello everyone,

I currently have a case against me. The claimant is Barclaysicon Bank.

Whilst I intend to counterclaim for charges + interesticon, I was wondering what all your opinions are on counterclaiming for PPIicon, even though the yes box on the application form was ticked! I don't remember ever having the PPI explained to me!

I have a thread for this case here:

    http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...rclaycard.html

The thread includes links to a copy of the alleged agreement and to a copy of the default notice!

All thoughts, comments and suggestions about this case are very much welcome!

    Regards, Jeff.

    Hello Jeff,

I have had a quick read of your thread and see that you have good help and support there

BC are renouned for mis-selling ppi althought they will deny it. They must follow certain guidelines to ensure the insurance sold is fit for purpose.

Did you ever receive the ppi policy and the terms and conditionsicon for it

Could you have claimed on it????? self employed, pre-existing medical condition, other insurances in place

The other point is that the tick was on a pre-contractual application form. If you work out on a spreadsheet every ppi payment, the % of interest on it and interest at their contractual rate, you will be amazed what it mounts up to

I am sure that you can ask to see all of the ppi documentation under the cpr

If any of my posts are helpful, please feel free to click my scales. All information is given as my opinion only, based on my own personal experiences. Hello hellhasnofury,

    Many thanks for your comments.

Firstly, I can't remember receiving any info regarding PPI. I just applied for the card and it arrived with all the usual stuff. I will certainly be doing a spreadsheet with all these payments on.

Secondly, As you will be aware, I am also counterclaiming for the charges added to the account. What I would like to know is should I go for beyond six years? If the answer is yes, then I will need further copies of statements from Barclaysicon.

If anybody has any more comments and suggestions, feel free!!!

    Regards, Jeff.
