    Thumbs down Philips

Received fine default notice from Philips just before christmas to pay £330 for court fine I never heard of before from place I use to live before I moved south.
Tried to make some kind of arrangement to pay by installments.
Got letter shortly after telling me to pay £0.00 every_____.
So I did exactly what they told me to do. Now I've got another letter saying that they may shortly be considering issuing a warrant for my arrest!!!

    Any advice???

Sorry guys. Maybe I wasn't clear enough.

They asked me to pay zero, £0.00, nothing by never, empty space before sending me the threatning letter!!!

Who are Philips exactly..are they a DCAicon?
Do you know which court the fine was issued from? - if so,contact that court and find out all the specifics of it.
Chances are the court may even not know anything about it & it could just be a case of the DCA trying it on which is not uncommon.
If that turns out to be the case, then the DCA has no powers whatsoever - nevermind the power of arrest

Aahhhhh right ok...in that case, the DCAicon is talking out of its proverbial as per usual by saying it can arrest someone
Only the police & courts have that power & as far as im aware, a court would not instruct a DCA to arrest somebody!

Were would the DCAicon take you after they've "arrested" you anyway?
To a cell in their office or something?

Not necessarily mr ton, they seem to have bailiffsicon as well so can apply for a warrant to arrest seeing as its for a court fine, you would then be taken straight to court, i would however imagine that if you can show you are either a case of cant pay rather than wont or make payments in installments to show your trying to do something about it then they would be hard pushed to get anywhere with a warrant, you must contact the court as a priority to find out more about this fine

This lot are certificatedicon baillifs working on behalf of the authorities so nothing more than a glorified DCAicon.

Amusing how they state a contact address in Doncaster and a Darlington phone number, could it be they dont want anybody to know about the Garden St Darlington office

shame cats out of the bag
