Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have come home and checked my online banking to find that Barclaycard have debitted money from my account. At no point have I given them authorisation to do so... I have contacted my bank (Barclays) to confirm that it is Barclaycard who have taken the money and they have confirmed this. Furthermore when I explained the query they passed me onto Barclaycard. I have spoken with someone at Barclaycard and asked why they have taken money from my account despite having no authorisation to do so. The person I spoke with stated the money was not yet with them so he could not comment... I advised that this must be fraudulent and took his name advising that I may be contacting the police.
Are Barclaycard able to withdraw money from my account without authorisation while the account is in dispute? If not how do I go about recouping the money they have taken and which authorities are to be notified?
do you mean your bank account or your credit card.
if it's your bank your covered by the direct debit T&Cs just tell your bank (in writting you did'nt authrorise this transaction)
