Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi dont know if this is happening to anyone else but this mth i seem to have got more charges then ever b4 and the decriptions for the charges i have never seen. When i have called and asked for an explanation they say it can not be discussed due to the test case...
Are they now just making "other charges" up knowing we can not even questsions them ????
I have got one or two of these as well, and on top of this im getting charged a £5 day when im over my overdraft limit. im only over cos of these bloody charges, i transferred more money into it two days ago!!!
Its pushing me over the edge now, think i may try and claims everything back for the last four years!!!!
My wages go in 2moz, but already i am 350 OD and still getting charged, this will have a knock on effect and then i will be back to the same thing come Feb!
I just wish we could get up in frount of this test case and show the courts the debt these banks are getting people in. I'm sick of TV and radio reports telling us about the amount of debt and the individual taking the blame. BANKS need to take some responisbility.
Me to i'm getting all my statements together and hopefully try and sort this out somehow. Good luck keep me posted on your progress.
Try not to get to messed up over it, we are in the same boat, your not along x
it's just so infuriating that one charge can cause so much more grief. Admittedly I should look after my accounts more, i've often had money to cover payments but thay have been in the wrong account at the time. If i spent a but more time managing them i would of avoided some of the financial pain!!!
However i think it is ridiculous that they are now charging more than they did before, £25 plus £5 a day!
You often don't know until you have a letter, so thats 3 days of charges as well, and then you have to get the money in there.
This new system seems very unfair, and penalises us for something that doesn't really cost them anything.
No wonder the banks seem to be so well off.
It's just come to a point now where I think it's worth spending the time to work out all the charges I could claim, just for the princible of it.
Hopefully this test case will push them into a corner. £25 plus £5 a day, definately not, a one off £12 fee yes that is more acceptable.
