    Default Insurance premium tax

    i assumed that this tax was only charged on the annual premium. but ive been charged on annual premium, motor protection Breakdown Covericon and charge for doing it by installments.

    any one have any clues?

    ipt is applicable on the premium, the legal expenses but the charge for direct debiticon is seperate. The insurers will tell you that the charge covers the loss of income because it is not in their account from day 1 of the policy. Perfectly legit i'm afraid as long as it is made clear to you

    so if it states the amount of the loan(including IPT were applicable)
    does this mean i am unable to claim this money back?
