Default Can anyone help me - advise required please

Basically I have a Barclay Credit Card and was wondering if I apply the same methods as reclaiming bank charges to the Barclay Credit Card??

I have claimed bank charges from Royal Bank of Scotlandicon so I am fairly sure of what I am doing.

The only problem I may have is that I have a debt planicon set up with Barclay card - this has been arranged with the Citizens Advice bureau and I just wondered how this may be affected if I go down the route of reclaiming unfair charges - I don't think the amount I am claiming would cover the outstanding balance - but I don't want to risk claiming them then they turn round and say that they will not accept reduced payments from now on in?

Thanks in advance for any assistance you may be able to provide.

    Hi, flipper25.

Yes, apply the same methods as reclaiming Bank Charges.
Credit cards are only slightly different in their terminology - you aren't claiming for charges for overdrafticon fees but for credit limits.

    Here's the template.....

    http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...RD-letter.html

As for whether or not they call in the whole debt, I honestly don't know. Is there not a risk they could do that at any time, anyway.

The template letter is a lbaicon, think you should amend it to suit your needs.

    Regards.

    Scott.

Hi Flipper and glad to see you've opened your thread.

I'll get it moved to the BarclayCard claims forum.

Follow MD's advice above, get on with the Prelim Claim letter and send off with your SOC.

As far as the debt planicon set up through CAB is concerned, I can't see why reducing the debt by reclaiming chgs should make them seek full repayment.

Try it anyway and d/w whatever happens. There's great peeps here to help if needed.
