a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
If you had PPI for that period you may be able to. You need to make a claim and see what they say. A quick phone call should clarify whether or not you should have told them immediately.
You might find the answer in the T&C's if you have them.
Just a thought, though. If, for any reason, you believe you were mis-sold PPI and you go ahead and claim on it, you won't be able to raise a mis-selling claim against the supplier in the future...
