Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I wonder if anybody could tell me as to whether there is a penalty for using any of the web comparison sites uswitch, confused.com, telegraph.com or energylinx. I used each of these sites, perhaps a bit rashly, to ascertain what savings might be available if I were to switch my current gas and electricity providers. I have briefly read one or two adverse posts re uswitch and am somewhat unclear as to how (all/any?) of these sites will derive commission on my particular (intended) transfer.
Incidentally, Ebico came up as the preference on all comparisons.
You won't pay any extra for using a comparison site if that's what you mean. The comparison sites simply get a payment for each new customer they refer.
Thanks for that, Barracad. I was just wondering as to who would receive the commission in this case as all three of the comparison sites mentioned have been used and have come up with pretty much the same response. Perhaps they will just have to fight it out amongst themselves?
It depends which site you use to follow the link and change providers. If you simply used the sites to compare prices and then go to the provider directly, none of them would receive the commission.
