Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Sorry to be a pain, i am a bit of a dimwit, has anyone had or does anyone know of a claim going on with these loan sharks, that they have been able to produce transcripts of the calls. would be grateful for any info as this is the reason they say they are taking so long to respond.( original complaint made on 12th november 2007).
many thanks

Thanks for your reply, no haven t submited SAR but they have been reviewing my phone call now for over forty days so just wondering if recordings actually exist. will probably send off SAR early in new year so i can move it on a little. These people are modern day highwaymen, without the masks.I will get my money backif it s the last thing i do.

Hello Dogspur,
Happy New Year to you
I would send them a SAR if they don't come up with it pronto. Once they receive it they must by law under the data protection act, comply with your request, within the 40day time limit.
Start as you mean to go on

Good luck. I to have a loan with these idiots. I would suggest sending anything to them recorded delivery as I have sent them letters whch when you speak to them they 'claim' they have not recieved!
They are robbing b****, may get our rebate after 3 years, doesnt stop us paying large amounts of interest for 25years on something that only lasts 5. Dont remember them saying that when I took out the loan!!!
Just had a final response from the robbing b******s, turning down my complaint on the grounds that everything was explained clearly to us when we agreed to the cover. I am a nurse and my wife an area manager with a 2.1 in philosophy, and we plainly did not understand the implications of taking out the policy. I think this points to the fact that they did not explain clearly enough, we are two intelligent people,we would never have agreed to pay £15,000 plus interest for a 5 year policy had we been fully understanding of its cost and time scale. Well we are going to take this one all the way.we are just waiting for the transcripts of our calls and all other information regarding this policy, then these jokers are going to the cleaners.
You might want to add a paragraph requesting documentary proof that the PPI was sold correctly. If, as they say, that everything was explained to you, they should have copies.
I have had 3 final responses from Barclays, but because i thought a please letter, would be adequate at the start, i probably wasted 3 months trying.
Once you get these letters off, everything becomes official.
Sit back and keep us posted.
.
I Wish you everything you wish yourself.
