Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
This is my first time on here posting a thread. I have a lot of questions and hope that you can help me.
I've had mortgage with L.M.C. for 3 years. I have fell into problems over this time and each month I am paying £41.25 monthly arrears management fee and £20.00 non direct debit fee. Thats £61.25 per month.
I have agreed to pay an extra £80.00 month to cover my arrears but obviously this is not making alot of difference to my balance due to these charges. I am currently on a suspended possession order and dont know if these charges are legal.
During this time they have added counsellor costs and solictitors fees also.
I have now had enough as i'm not getting anyway and have just put house on the market. They tell me I still have an early redemption fee which is £3800. How can all this be legal and above board...i feel its daylight robbery and i am so distressed about it all now.
Prior to this I had mortgage with GMAC and had to pay a large Early Redemption Fee to them.
Are these two companies one of the same trading under different names and how can claim any of these charges back (if at all). Please help fellow CAG users.
Many thanks for any assistance anyone can give me.
I dont know L c.o. but i dp know DMAC
Rarly redeprion fee is most probally legal thr dd fee and arreas fee are ost probally illegal but as you are still with them you need to think about this you ahve 6 years to claim. If you keep up with what the court order they cannot do anything so dont panic things calm and look long term at the moment putting your house on the market might not be the best
