Default Help Please, Alliance want to go to court.

Firstly thank you for your time and advice here. I sent a letter as guided asking the A&L for my bank statements from the last 6 yearsicon. I calculated what I deemed owed. I sent a letter back to A&L and heard nothing, 8 letters later some of which were recorded, no replies. It was as if I did not exist, but I did. So I started proceedings to go to court after one final nasty letter. I paid through the cours website and a letter was issued. Within days the A&L's solicitors (Wragge & Co) say they intend to defend and have listed a whole load of legal jargon explanations. I have obviously papped my pants. What's the worse that can happen, what do I do now. Do I need to get a solicitor to help represent me. I presume that if it goes to court and I lose I get charged their costs (oh well). Your advice is greatly appreciated.

I have been to a court many times for other thing (not bad) previously a special constable so court does not phase me, I just want to know what to expect.

I expected them to say your charges equal to and we disagree fully or your cgarges are but we will offer you xyz or even a reply to say we ar awaiting the results of a test case......

Nervous but glad you lot are there. Merry Xmas. Wayne

wayne - this wont go to court. they never do.

i started 3 claims for refunds on bank charges through MCOL and ALL 3 settled before the court dates.

which is a shame cos i would have torn them a new hole in court!!!
