The test case is concerned purely with currant accounts and whether it is legal for banks to charge us so much (put simply). The date of the test case has no bearing on when you file your N1 at court - regardless of what the banks try and imply. Just stick to the guidelines and if you end up filing at court and the test case takes some time to resolve the issues you are still gaining interesticon at 8%.

If your income is derived purely from benefits or you can prove you are a 'hardship case' you might get a result sooner rather than later. Just do lots of reading over the next few days to get a feel for what you can expect.

If my advice has been helpful tip the scales

alright... so does that mean that I shouldn't claim my money for two Natwesticon accounts - current account and credit card?

    Thank You ever so much!

Do the credit card account separately, as a separate claim. The test case doesn't apply to credit cards, so you should be able to get the credit card charges sorted fairly quickly.
Just done my husbands, absolute pushover! Had to file at court but after that it was easy. Natwesticon got Cobbetts solicitors on the case but they were easy to deal with. If you need any help on the credit card side of things let me know.

MsIsland, best thing would be to start your own thread, then post any quries on there. MsIsland - v Natwesticon Credit Card or something similar. Then more people will see it and be able to help.

Just to make it crystal clear. The test case is only concerned with current accounts but you can still put in a claim. If it takes years to be settled in court (hope not) at least you are gaining interesticon which is something. All other accounts are not affected - mortgageicon, business, credit/store cards and loans are unaffected by this case. The banks will attempt to make you believe that you cannot claim for current accounts (or in some cases any account) but don't listen to them. Just use the guidelines here and you will be okay.
