Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Basically awaiting reply (14 day) to my request for return of charges. I imagine I will get usual fob-off but then am going to go via Ombudsman and will update on here. Let me know if you think Ombudsman route is waste of time etc????
The Ombudsman have put all claims on hold unless you can demonstrate hardship. So it depends on whether you can demonstrate hardship as to whether it is worth filing a complaint with them.
Again just asked for charges on my credit card - only 250 odd pounds - they offer measley 100 pounds.... have now sent complaint to Ombudsman. Any opinions on how this weird company actually reacts / settles using the fos?
Several threads merged - please stick to one thread per claim, makes it much easier to follow.
