    Default PPI Fob Off Letters

    Hi Again Everyone

After a bit of advice. I've now had 2 fob off letters from BarclayCard and Capital Oneicon and anticipate more like this. They are regarding the PPIicon claim back on Credit Cards.

They say that its my responsibility to check my statments. Has anyone else had this and how have you replied to their letter?

    Thanks

    Anita

    Hello AP,

I would have said that it was their responsibily not to mis-sell it in the first place. You trusted them and they took advantage and of course they have to blame some-one it couldn't be them. Did you watch the Whistleblower programme on them. The whole of the country say it, so would you trust anything they ever told you. They are heartless in their endevour for profit.

I still remember some poor old guy, who had nothing and was living in a bedsit. he went to ask for a loan to buy a bed to sleep in. They refused him the loan, and then tried to sell him house insurance and stated he was at risk in case there was a fire. Absolutely scandalous, how do these people sleep at night.

Hi Anitaparrot. You could write again, saying you were not aware of your rights previously and outline exactly why / how they mis sold the PPIicon. Give them a further 14 days to respond and tell them you will take further action after this time.

I'm preparing to send my Barclaysicon info to fosicon re the PPI. Others have are going down the court route.

I did see that yes. I know this whole PPIicon thing is quite new. I've managed to reply to one of the fob off letters I've received, just struggling with a couple of them. One of them I e-mailed the fosicon about but that was over a week ago and they haven't replied to my email yet.

I had another fob off letter from Lloydsicon... I called the FOS in the end. Very useful. They advised me that although Lloyds told me that because my complaint was over 6 yearsicon old they didn't think the FOS would investigate it. The lady I spoke to said they would investigate because Llloyds had been regulated since 1998 by another body. So I wrote them a reply letter yesterday telling them that I'd taken advice from the FOS.

    Still working on the others.............!
