    Default Quickie

    Just a quick question.

I'm about to change jobs and the pay date has changed from the 15th to the 28th, I took it upon myslef to ring all the companies that I hold a direct debiticon with and asked them to change my due date which they did in seconds whilst I was on the phone. All except one which was Clydesdale financial services, they told me that they would charge £25 for the privelage, I asked for their terms and coditions and a schedule of their charges which they refused.

    Can they do this?

Er, no. You could always cancel the DD completely and pay them by standing Order - that way you are in control.

All help is merely my opinion only - please seek legal advice if you need to as I am only qualified in SEN law.

I would have though they were obliged to send you this information upon request. You would have thought they would do this FOCicon. It takes a few clicks on a keyboard and would take less than a minute!

Not sure but the T&C's may come under the heading of information held relating to you as you have agreed a service or product supplied by them using the T&C's in question. If you see what I mean!

I am sure someone more knowledgeable will come along and help soon!
    Good luck!

Yeah, I've actually done this but I'm a DDM junkie, it seems so much more convenient. Although the rebel in me tells me to fight the buggers.
