    Default Woodger vs Welcome Finance

    Hi all,

Im new here so bear with me ,

I took out a loan in I think it was 2003 with welcome finance, on which I was given PPIicon - even tho I didnt know what it was,

Once I realised how much extra this was costing me - I wanted to put it right. Welcome finance offered to re-loan me enough money to pay off my existing Loan and take out the new loan without Payment Protection.

At no point did they offer the refund my payment protection.

The second loan I took with them was then subsequently paid off early.

Bcos I took more money off them to repay the original loan with the payment protection added.... does this mean I am entitled to claim the entire payment protection from the first loan ?

Thanks in advance for your help !

Hello and welcome to the ppi forum,

The normal practice if you cancel a running ppi, is that the remaining ppi premium and interesticon they charged, would be calculated and refund to the loan balance therefore reducing it. You would entitled to reclaim back the ppi and interest that you actually paid them

I they did not do this, this is extremely bad practice and you would be entitled to reclaim back the whole premium plus the interest they added to it.

Personally I would send a SARicon and get all of the information they hold on you regarding any activity you have had from them. Once you know what they have done, you can start the process.

If you need help, just ask
