Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi everyone, at last Barclaycard have paid up on my OH's claim many years ago (or so it seems) but actually the court case was back in June. Barclaycard didn't pay up and the case was due to be restored at the end of September but was stayed in August.
Then Mercers started ringing at least twice a day as OH had been on payment scheme but debt was made up of penalty charges. Tried complaining to them, then their local TS, then fos (they wouldn't take it on because the case was ongoing) then my local TS and made a complaint through CAG re abuses of the OFT waiver and email to a journalist at the Mail, finally when I was ready to spit my dummy out the pram, got letter from Bcard to-day apologising profusely, refunding the money albeit into OH's account, bringing the balance to nil and removing the default.
Just shows we must never give up. Thanks to everyone on here who has kept us going - onward and upwards
