Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi All,
Been reading quite a few threads and have been encouraged to give it a go.
Wasnt sure it was worth the hassle though, until I got a letter today along with about a dozen phone calls because I was about £100 over my agreed limit (all because of charges) and hence missed a payment on my loan, also with RBoS (another charge).
So Im going to go for it.
Better in my pocket than some shareholder's eh?
Is it ok to send a Postal Order for £10 with the DPA letter?
I would assume so from what i`ve read, but cross it (what ever that means) i sent cheques for mine so it might be worth while trying to confirm if you can.
Iv been checking the available transactions on internet while i wait on my statements,
every month iv been charged a £10 "maintenance charge" for going over my agreed limit.
They take this out then it puts me over for that month, do the same next month, etc, this has went on for bout 5 months at least.
Can this be claimed? Or is this a "service" they have kindly allowed me to use?
Hi every1
What is the average time for RBS to respond to the Data Protection Act request letter, i sent mine with PO to my branch three weeks ago come friday.
They credited my account with £5 as cash transaction, im assuming this means they have taken the other fiver to cover statements.
I got my statements in about 2 weeks from sending my request (still waiting on shatwest) deadline expired today)), but i suppose it depends how busy they are, just keep an eye out for a disgruntled postman lol
