Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Cashpoints are still being rigged (Aylesbury) and the Petrol Station [problem] continues (Kenilworth).
The petrol retailers started a campaign this week to guard your PIN. Good advice, but there are numerous ways to obtian PINs, may I suggest even even tampering with PIN pads.
All you can do is check your statements and consider continuting to sign by way of a Chip & signature Cards.
According to the press, fraud on UK-issued cards used overseas has risen by a massive 126%. Crooks are cloning UK Debit & Credit Cards at an inudstrial rate. They are then using the cloned cards, not in shops but at ATMs and to do this they need your PIN.
If card issuers know where and when and over what period of time card details and PINs were compromised, or possibly compromised shouldn't they be informing cardholders?
It is essential that you tell us as soon as you can if you suspect or discover that: someone else knows your PIN, password or other security information.
Re: Warning. Used Plastic in Aylesbury or Kenilworth?
Hi
Thanks for you posts I will be reading your links with interest
We live near Aylesbury and my sons girlfriend has just had her card cloned and money taken out yesterday in the Ukraine. £200 - not good for a girl who has just lost her job.
As far as she remembers she has only used Lloyds cashpoints recently - but who knows when it was done
As you say a big problem !
