Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
After watching the Tonight programme about reclaiming PPI's, I am thinking of reclaiming on behalf of my parents. They have various credit cards that they've had for over 20 years now, a mortgage and a loan, most of these are with Barclays.
They have had these for so long they have no idea whether they have a PPI or not. What is the easiest way for us to begin this process, and find out which, if any, have PPI's attached to them or have had in the past?
Is it a case of reclaiming anything within only the last 6 years, as with bank charges?
I would write to the banks / loan company with a SAR. Once you have all the information then you are better equiped to act. Just getting the information can be an ordeal!
