I have just sent of the DPA letter, with £10 postal order. I closed the account a while ago and did not have it for very long, just long enough to acquire a spate of charges. It will be interesting to see how this goes, I'll keep you informed!
When the Liberals and Conservatives were in opposition they both agreed that banks should pay back high bank charges to customers. Nothing seems to of happened since they came into power as a coalition. PPI insurance has been sorted now they should turn their attention to bank charges and help customers get exorbitant charges refunded.

I finally received the statements, filled in the spreadsheet and sent off the letter. Received a reply very quickly saying "we feel our charges are reasonable and competitive etc" and "advise that the charges must stand".
Am also pursuing claims for my sisters with the Halifax and Abbey, they got their statements in about a dozen separate envelopes... what's that all about! Also got the standard not available in hard copy, to which I've sent the appropriate letter, no response so far, so another letter to write tomorrow.
