Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Have been looking through this site for a few weeks now and found it to be really useful.
Need a bit of help now though. My partner and I have got into a bit of a financial situation and all of our creditors apart from Barclaycard have accepted pro-rata payments from us.
My intention is to start claiming back charges starting with Barclaycard and need to know do I CCA them first or can I CCA them and S.A.R - (Subject access request) them at same time.
I am only asking this as we have had a default notice sent twice from Mercers and just lots of other useless correspendence from them and I think its about time we got our own back on them.
If you don't have your BC state's covering the last 6 yrs for which the a/c has been running, end SAR now with £10 fee (which you may get back).
I would also include a seperate CCA letter in same envelope and send by Rec'd Del'y.
You'll find templates for both these and, as you say you've been site-watching for a while, I hope you can find what you need already - if not, post us here and you'll get help.
