    Morning everyone,

Well managed to give the numpty bailifficon his money this morning (we had to borrow from family) and our car was un-clamped, he then said for us to write to Redbridge Council about our situation but not to send the letter as he will deal with it and to give him a call on monday to sort out a repayment planicon, does he not understand that we cannot afford to pay him hence the reason of getting council tax benefit. Now I dont trust this numpty as far as I can throw him, things just dont seem to be right, why tell us to write to the council but not send it. It seems to me that he has got somthing eles planned.

    Default Equita bailiffs council tax

Hi i new here, very good site.

My husband had an old parking fineicon that he forgot to pay and basically was told to pay £500 or his car will be clamped lucky for us we had noticed on the fine the color of the car was put down as grey and not green we phoned redbridge council to tell them of the error and they gave us the court detials so we could get an out of time delatation to prevent the car being clamped, now the bailifficon in question was not a happy bunny to say the least so now this is where things start to get interesting. On tuesday morning we got ready to go to work (we are self employed ) and discovered to our horror that our car had been clamped by the same bailifficon for non payment of council tax , now bearing in mind we are claiming council tax benefit beause we are not able to afford it due to the fact we are currently making a loss in the business and redbridge council are fully aware of this and are now saying that our claim has not been processed because we have not given them the relevent info which is untrue we gave them every thing they requested and thought the claim was sorted out. So now we have to try to find £780 (we acutallu owe £3,400 in total) to get the car de- clamped or it will be towed away, we exlained to the bailifficon our situation but he said pay up of loose the car, we are not even at fault its redbridge council that have screwed up here and redbridge are saying its out of there hands now. Please help as we are at our wits end.

    Thank you.xxxxxx

Could you let me know the name of the actual bailifficon so that I can check our database to see if he is certificatedicon.

Please do not put the name on the public forum but send details only by private message.

    I can then respond further.
