    Default Up front and online

    Hello All

I've had PPIicon that I want to claim back from a couple of places so I have quick question on each.

RBSicon - I applied for this card on-line, does this have any bearing on me claiming back PPI at all? Is it more awkward?

Paragon - I had PPI off them on a 25 year loan, it was £5500 up front. This loan was paid off recently after only 2 years and the PPI refund was around £1000 so it cost £4500 for 2 years PPI. My wife organised this loan and doesn't remember much about the PPI be sold to her so what route would I take to claim back this extortinate charge.

Your help would be appreciated. I have succesfully claimed back bank charges in the past but this PPI is going over my head a little. The bank charge claim was step by step whereas this seems all over the place from what I have read.

    Hello and welcome,

The ppi forum I agree is all over the place as it is just coming to the fore, and it will become bigger than the bank charges.

Just look at it like the bank charges process. It really is that simple.

Send your SARicon and get the information. They will be reluctant to give the information, because they know what you are going to do with it. But you must keep at them for non-compliance.

Once you get the info, you need to work out what you are going to ask for a refund, the ppi premium, interesticon applied and the contractual interest if you wish to.

Send your preliminary letter give them 14days

Send you letter before actionicon give them 14days

Approach the fosicon to resolve the complaint

    Issue court proceedings.

As with the bank charged they will deny and deny. but you have to pursue them regardless

Thanks for your reply hellhasnofury, I will proceed with this then and keep you up to date with how I get on.

Do you think the fact I applied for the credit card online will make any difference at all?
