Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi, I am at the first step but can't quite get on it. about 12 months ago we paid off all cc's in full and soon after I threw EVERYTHING away I had one with msdw for 1600 one with Capital One for 200 one with Barclays for 1500 mint for 1000 and Egg 15,000 and egg 1000 we defaulted on all, I wrote to them asking to freeze interest and to pay monthly all agreed, I paid all except egg in full when we remortgaged. I had ppi with all of the above and the reason I ended up defaulting was because I got made redundant and the insurance wouldn't pay out! I can't remember for what reason as you can probably imagine I was under a lot of finacial stress. If anyone can point me in the right direction to find out which step I need to take first I would be really grateful, do I write to the above companies? is there a template letter I could use to get the ball rolling? as I don't have any details on paper Im not sure where to start, many thanks in advance and sorry if I am repeating something already posted but I have looked.
