Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
It probably could but....
1].there are economies when all the wages are put through together
2] it complicates matters the following month as some will be paid normally
while the ones who got paid for one week, will have to have their monthly
payment altered, perhaps manually to three weeks.
3]if the wages are paid by an outside company, the costs involved to put through one or two on a weeks' payout may be prohibitive.
It may be easier to get an advance from the company to avoid too much
disruption to their normal monthly wages run.
so they could pay you 3 weeks and then 5 the next mounth but they could not refuse the late week all together, also when i say late i mean only 2 days. thanks for your quick reply
You will need to read your employment contract. Most companies who use timesheets have a cut off line in order for the ones put in to be processed in time for payday. This used to happen in my previous job - if it was late they wouldn't process it for that payday.

I am paid this way. If my sheets are not in by the 12th of the month then I will only get basic monthly pay and any extra will be paid at the end of the next month.
I am the same. I need to have any time sheets i want to claim for in by a certain day or the are delayed until the next week.

Just a little clarification popeye.
Do you submit your own timesheet weekly, and are you saying that if it is late they pay you for that week the following month?
Is your pay made up locally or by an outside wages company?
Can you tell us what it says about when and how you will be paid in your contract given to you within two months of taking up employment.

Can you post the letter up popeye or reproduce it here for us.
yes weekly timesheets. i believe wages in house.big company contract says monthly, [ cant find it at moment but 2 years Ive been paid monthly] they will be deucting a weeks basic which will reflect in the following months pay
Are you already paid one month in arrears, or is this just a temporary measure to get your wages into a monthly arrears cycle? This would, of course, make it easier for them to calculate your pay more accurately.
hello jeff,at the moment its just a letter, but there must be some regs or the like on this, no union rep but ill give someone who is in the union a call, thanks
