Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
You need to give your bank a call and see if the money was taken out by direct debit or as a card transaction.
Either way ring your bank and tell them that you have never heard of the company and that you want the transaction reversed. If they made a bank charge as a result of the payment then tell them you want that refunded as you never authorised that transaction that cause it in the first place.
If they give you any hassle say that you want to make an official complaint. Never fails
If you have already flagged it as a disputed transaction then the bank will send you a letter in a few days for you to sign and confirm this - they will then refund the money to you. Make sure they also refund any penalty charges as well.
