Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have recently received a letter from A&L saying that they do not owe me anything and that their charges are totally just. I have, obvioulsy, queried this and sent a letter from the templates section saying that I am not happy with this decision. I sent that 2 weeks ago and on the letter it stated that they had 14 days to reply to my letter, but with the postal strikes do I give them a little more time or proceed as normal??
It might be a good idea to allow a few more days just to show the Judge you have been reasonable in your efforts to resolve the matter before it reached court.
I finally recieved a response from A & L but it was just a generic letter giving my information about the ongoing court proceedings. I remember writing a letter to Barclays saying that I was unhappy with their response, etc... when they offered me £1000 on a £2700 claim. Do I need to do this now with A & L? And if so, whereabouts is this letter??
