Thread: Claiming against Egg....advice needed

All template letters can be found here . I would as many threads as you can, to get the general gist of what you have to do. However the steps you will need to take are

i) send a Subject access request - to get all your statements, so you can see the charges you have paid.

ii) send a preliminary letter asking for the money back

iii)send a letter before action, stating if they do not pay you will take them to court

iv) file a claim with the courts.

Egg may settle before getting to the court stage, however if you do stage 3 above, be prepared to file a cliam with the courts.

Also read up on the FAQs, and get as much info as possible. If you have any more questions, then just ask and I am sure somebody will help if they can.

There is no specific one for Egg. You should use the generic one.

Egg will send you a form, asking if you want the full statement for £10, or a cut down version for £5.

I asked for the cut down version, as it contains all the info you need. Its easier to go through them, and its less paper, hence friendlier on the environment.
