    Default Direct Debit

    Dear Viewers

If like myself you are becoming verry concerned with the financial arm twisting edited tactics being used to make you sign direct debiticon agreements. by the large monopolistic corporations the likes of sky & BT to name but a few. currently BT are charging customers an extra £18.00 per yer for so called processing fees Its an outrage the adminicon costs are part of the overheads of running a business not something you add on to the bill afterwards its like charging to accept your money. where will this lead if something is not done an extra fee at the supermarket checkout for instance
the bill should include everything no adding fees on.
anyway before I get off track we have a petition going to try & get this sort off coersion banned click on the link.

Petition to: To make it illegal for companies to impose an administration charge if not wishing to pay Via Direct Debit.

    thank you nofool

Virgin charge £60 per annum and are not backing down so easily, I'm going to have to sue to get mine back. Will keep you posted. I'll enjoy invoicing them for my time

I agree though the reason given simply does not matter and the danger once this becomes accepted these charges will grow and grow. This is exaclty what happened with banks charges and the success of the charges reclaim movement has been in some way due to thier greed. If the charges had been lower the banks wouldn't have looked so stupid.

How about setting up a standing order on your own terms? You can better manage your finances that way.

Realy so whats attractive about being pressured into giving these companys free access to your bank account. some of us like to control our own money thank you, just one more step towards state control where you as an individual have no say at all.

Im well aware of the terms & conditions of DD however you will find that once they have your money rightly or wrongly it can be a lenthy process getting them to put it back. this I know from exsperience.
also while your promoting DD you should point out that if there are insufficient funds in your account on that specific date that the DD is taken it is bank policy to alow the DD to go through then charge penalty fees for unauthorized overdrafticon etc. which can be a problem if your relying on your wages being paid direct to your bank as should they be late through no fault of your own you are hit with bank charged.
so once again DD is not your friend nor is the Bank.
we could Argue the pro,s & cons all day But the purpose of my post is DD should be a free choice & not forced upon anyone. Especially by corporate Monopolys like BT & Sky

direct debiticon really means licence to steal. Thats what they do these banks and companies, they STEAL from us. How can they be stopped? Laws don't apply to them! We little people have to join forces! How about a great Direct Debit revolt? Get as many people as we can to cancel them and pay manually??

    Would that hurt them?

If only they would unfortunately this country has been conditioned with properganda not to rock the boat.
where as the french they don,t stand for this crap at all as their goverment will testify to.
you will also note when the french go on strike or protest. as is their right.
they are not assaulted & molested by the police. unlike this country
I think that the goverment should outlaw all these extra charges
but then they are doing it themselves hell they even charge vat on fuel duty if that dosent take the pee what does.?

    Smile Re: Direct Debit

direct debiticon is terrible. Nobody should use it for anything, ever.

The Direct Debit mandate is a play on words - yes they give the amount back - for about 5 days - then take the money again.

The only real power UK citizens have is withholding TAX payments.

Council Tax is mostly paid by Direct Debit - we could teach them a lesson by getting the whole country or a whole town to simply cancel their Direct Debits and not pay - the system would collapse in a few weeks - the council has to pay cash up front for court dates and their are only a limited number ...

PAYE is the other obstruction to citizens power - the government has removed our only real power - the power to refuse to pay them.

We are controlled by a very fragile system that can be destroyed in a few weeks.

Step 1 - pick a town and everybody stops paying for parking - council and court system get blocked up - citizens start to realise their power

Step 2 - stop paying council tax in that town - set up a fighting fund to protect the few who are targetted

Step 3 - now you have positive feedback - more citizens will get involved - people need feedback for their actions or they get bored - politicians know this - that is why everything is SLOW - target more and more towns

Step 4 - the prize - eradicate PAYE - this gives citizens real power - everybody simply stops paying tax for a month to send a message

A revolution without anybody leaving their armchair - nobody gets hurt
