Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have just re-read the Order that I received from court. It states that both sides need to file a skeleton argument and copies of all relevant authorities relied on not later then 7 days b4 the hearing.
The application will be heard together with a number of other similar applications at a composite hearing.
5 minutes has been allowed for the hearing
Firstly what is a composite hearing and 5 minutes doesn't to me seem to be a very long time for each hearing?
As the Judge has only requested a skeleton argument so is this all I should do or shoulkd I do the whole bundle to have a stay removed??
Hiya GR, a composite hearing will involve more than one case all of a similar nature so you wont be the only claimant there, I would think the Judge has allocated 5 minutes each so if there are 12 of you in court the whole thing has been allocated an hour but I might be wrong on that.
Your Judge has asked for a skeleton argument so this should be what you send him, he needs to see the points of your arguments set out in a clear logical manner. I would do the bundle as well for your own use in court so you have all of the facts and proof at your fingertips.
