Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Have been succesful with Lloyds and Capitol One and Studio before OFT test case.
Have another ongoing at the moment with 1st National Trinity.
I have just received letter back from BOS re credit card lba, offerring half of requested in Full and final settlement.
I am now going to proceed with court claim.
I really find it difficult to get to court and am going to file with MCOL. Can anybody please help me with a new POC for BOS CC claim which will fit on MCOL claim.
Hi Dee and welcome to the Halifax fourum. You'll get loads of realy good advice and encouragment from SSL, tilly49 , Ja-de and all the others on here. how's your GE claim going you've had a post from me and parkvale.
Good luck with this one. I'm going to start my Halifax CC soon but i'm still waiting for them to respond to my SAR its been 60 days now and even after a lba they still have not responded. They realy like to play games but we'll get them in the end.
Received notification from Teesside Combined Court .
Judge Michael Taylor having considered papers in the cas and upon it appearing that the issus in this claim are identical to those likely to be the subject of proceedings in Commercial Court between OFT an certain finanical institutions. Claim be stayed.
Rang the Court and told them this was a credit card claim and OFT specificaly states not related to outcome of test case. Was told All claims relating to any charges are being blanket stayed.
Reiterated OFT test case not related to cc claim, and was advised to write to court to get stay lifted.
Q. Can I just write to have stay lifted and not complete Form N224 as I know it doesnt sound a great deal of money , but I really can,t afford to waste any more money waiting for Test case.
Must be having off day today as feeling really disallusioned with the Courts now.
I would have thought you just need to outline your argument as to why your stay should be lifted this link outlines it all. I hope this helps, it should at least give you a bump
After letter wrangling with RBS - offered part settlement in which I refused and further additional part settlement which I refused.
Today they have offered me full settlement which includes interest at 19.9% (Strange but nice - as I had only claimed 8%)for GOGW in Full and final settlement) I agreed to this one , strangely. Asked for written confirnation and cheque before court date on 20th February 2008. Received confirmation today that I will recieve cheque within 7-10 working days.
This will be after my court date next week to get stay lifted.
Can I ask RBS for BACS payment tomorrow, or should I inform/attend the court next week.
Of course, as usual as soon as I recieve funds I will be donating to this fantastic site.
