Default Help needed with Barclaycard arrears debt

Hi, due i'llness i have been unable to pay my barclaycard monthly bill as regular as i should and owe around £200 over the limit. I have however tried to sort this by making 3 reasonable payments in the last month or so but due to the various charges or fines it is still roughly the same. Anway on my statement it says its gone to Mercers and has their number on the statement to deal with it who seem to have Scotcall involved on their behalf i think??

What i want to know is, that after paying online directly to Barclaycard still is this ok or should i be paying to the other 2? When i called a while back they could see payments i have made to Barclaycard so does this mean the arrears have not been strictly sold on just that they are working for them to recover them? I tried asking this on the phone and i think they were saying i can still pay BC but as they were hassling me for a further payment it was a bit confusing.

I'm looking to pay half of it this week and then pay a bit more when i can would this be ok or is Scot call trying to set up a payment deal as they have been round and sent letters. Will the calling round or sending out letters make they add on more fees? Also after calling them it seems they came round very quickly after not doing so for a while, is this because i called them and kind of alerted them?

    Thanks for any advice...

If they have been hitting you with charges etc have you looked into claiming these back?

I give advice not as an expert on law, only as a guy who succesfully claimed back £3385 from The Halifax. Followed by another £2611.

Lloyds TSB settled in full before hearing

Cap One offered full settlement and default removed.
