Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.

a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Are there any template letters avaiable for refunds etc... for clamping. I have serched the web and there are ones available however they require a £15 fee.
Asking a company who clamped you for money back is not usually a going to be a success. If they didn't think you should be clamped they would not have clamped you in the first place or released you free.
The best bet if you think the company was acting outside the law would be to sue in the small claims court for the money back.
Surely it would be better to let the company know of your intention to take them to small claims court and at least give them a chance to respond to any allegations that they have acted unlawfully. They may even realise they have made a mistake and refund the charge once they are made aware of the incident! IMHO!

I thought the OP would have already made an informal approach regarding the matter if not you are correct a quick letter just stating why you should not have been clamped will suffice.
