    Hello willsicon,

How long is a piece of string.

Your first contact SARicon up to 40days, sometimes longer because they either don't comply, or fail to disclose everything and you have to write to them again and again to get the info you need.
It will then of cours take time to read it, understand what it is telling you, and then work out your calculations.

Them you send your prelim letter 14 days

Then you send your lbaicon letter 14days

I really does vary. In my opinion the smaller claims may take the prelim letter, to the lba letter and they pay up.

The bigger claims they hold out on more,

If you go via the fosicon, which the fos will only be interested in the claim if it was before 2004. The final responce letter from the company can take up to 8 weeks and then the fos can take up to 8weeks plus to come to a decision, and if their deision is not to your liking to them have the opinion of court, which can take months.

If you cannot use the fos, your opinion is then to file a N1 at court, and again the case may take months.

I hope this will give you an ideal of the time scale. If you think that it is going to take a long time, you don't get so frustrated.

My advice is to pace yourself, don't rush things, good things come to those who wait.

If any of my posts are helpful, please feel free to click my scales. All information is given as my opinion only, based on my own personal experiences. I have no legal training, but have educated myself in aspects of consumer legislation. My motto "NEVER GIVE IN, NEVER SURRENDER", THERE IS A WAR ON YOU KNOW

I have just rang the fosicon and they've told me my case still hasn't been allocated. My complaint has been with them since May now and they say it'll take at least another 8 weeks to be allocated to an adjudicator! Is this normal for it to take up to 6 months?
