Hi newbie here
been spending time going through these articles for clydesdale financial services, got my statement by asking over the phone (i am certain that shouldnot have happened but thnkyou miss xxxx) he he.
anyway i was horrified to work the charges from these shysters,2 years after my account was paid up they continued to add charges and i have worked out they say i owe them £765.00 but actually they owe me £1378.19 can i just send lba or is it better to send prelim letter i am going for there throat.
thanks
Send prelim letter first. If it goes to court you will be able to demonstrate that you tried to resolve the dispute without the need for court action. If you just go for the throat they could use this against you in court.
Hi
sent prelim letter
and they have offered to refund part of the account and say i now owe them £345.00 instead of £765 no mention of the overpayment they already have.
just received i telephone call from them this morning asking to make further payments towards te £345.00 considering they have refunded 50%
they say they wont budge any further
should i still carry on with lba :-?
Yes send your lba just alter it a bit accepting the partial refund but making it clear you will persue them for a full refund through the courts if nessasary.
Hi
recently received response to my lba from clydesdale financial services saying that they have refunded 50% of charges in line with oft guidelines and basically they will not remove any further charges.
they are calling the amount arrears charges when they have charged 22.50 for late letter charges they have already being paid more than double the original amount i dont know if this makes any difference they say that they have acted fairly and now say becuase i have defaulted on this account the balance has now been passed to an external debt collecting agency (ALLIED INTERNATIONAL CREDIT) who will contact me and if i reqiure any further information regarding this account that i should contact allied credit, and to consider this letter to be our final response to your complaint.
do i still take clydesdale to court, and what do i do about allied credit
Start your court claim. Whatever way they want to dress up the cost of their charges they are still unlawfull. while the account was in dispute they should have not passed the account over to anyone, you should report them to the oft/fso
