After the introduction of the FSA waiver at the end of July, millions of people who had submitted a claim to their bank for bank charges were suddenly left in limbo.

Whiile many people continue to have £100's taken from their account each month. They are unable to claim it back. And now they are finding that they very regulators that are there to help them are allowing banks to discontinue their own complaints procedures.

Is it any wonder that messages from the FSA now go unheeded by the general public?

A large amount of people are effectively tied to their bank through an overdrafticon - stopping them from moving elsewhere and restricting competition.

Many more people do not even know that its possible to cancel a direct debiticon and avoid bank charges this way.

In order to restiore trust in general bank accounts and the FSA - the waivericon preventing claims should be removed immediately.
