Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I think i have this in the right thread, but let me know if not! I have had a letter today from RBS stating that they have charged my company £30 for a returned cheque, even when i put the cash into the account the day before to cover it.
Now, the company is a limited company, so in this case, does the £30 charge seem a fair an appropriate amount to be charged, or can i go down the line of the OFT's advice and suggest that they should have charged my £12 if at all?
Several people have had success on business accounts with RBS. If the charge is a penalty then it is unenforceable in its entirety so no compromising at £12.
