Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Since then I have incurred a lot more charges and I am planning to submit MCOL, however can I add the additional charges to the MCOL, or can I only add the original amount to the MCOL, as I am sure the banks do not check all these prelims they just send standard letter and bin it.
Also I started this a while ago (3 months or more) and have been wondering about the case going through the court at the moment, wether or not this will affect the claim, or am I allowed to still claim my money back, as A&L seem to be a bit high on the old charges.

Hi Rob
If i were you i would not do a MCOL but rather go through the court direct as at this momment in time all MCOL cases are apparently being stayed, also whether you apply on line or through the court direct you will have to pay an amendment fee to change the amount you are claiming for once court action has been started. Not sure of the name of the forms needed to do that or the amount but i know it wasnt that much. Sorry cannot be any more help but keep asking as there are plenty of helpful people on this site. Good luck!!
thanks for the advice, will have a look around for the forms needed to apply to the courts directly.

YEs you can download N1 form - all MCOL cases stayed - plus on MCOL no space to complete the new POC for Alliance and leicester- use these - they are in the "sticky threads" at top of A&L forum

a quick question, I have seen my local court is staying all cases, is it better to apply directly to the court in person or is it better to put the cases through MCOL,
or does it not really make any difference now as both are staying cases.

file with local court - as you need to use new POC- mcol all stayed and even if they were not they would transfer to local court anyway.
at least you will be ready when case is concluded - if it ever happens
