    Default Barclaycard PPI

Been going thru Mrs Trojan's satements checking for charges etc but unlike me, always been good .

However, I've noticied that PPIicon has been charged monthly obviously varying amounts depending on o/s balance.

Now, we cannot recall ever requesting this (unless Mrs T ticked box in error ) as I've never been an advocate for such cover and would not have recommended inclusion. I've asked BCard to confirm when requested and that they refund in full. I expect the usual fob off reply. So a couple of questions ;-

    1. Do I then send SARicon for copy of agreement/app form ?
    2. The PPI is added to the balance so if not paid off in full, I assume interesticon would be added. If so, can I therefore ask them to include this within the amount I'm reclaiming ?
    3. How succesful have people been doing this ?

Could be the start of another crusade !!!

    Thanks

    Hello Trojan,

    Welcome,

The SARicon comes under the Data Protection costs £10 and I am sure you know they have 40days to comply. They should give you all information regarding your o/h account. Failure to comply is reported to the information commissioners office and you can issue a N1 in court to get your info

The CA request comes under the Consumer Credit Act costs £1 and they have 12 working days and a further 1month to comply. They must send a true copy of the agreement. Failure to comply is reported to the Office of fair trading and trading standards.

anyway here hoping they come back with a positive letter

If any of my posts are helpful, please feel free to click my scales. All information is given as my opinion only, based on my own personal experiences. I have no legal training, but have educated myself in aspects of consumer legislation. My motto "NEVER GIVE IN, NEVER SURRENDER", THERE IS A WAR ON YOU KNOW
