Thhjis has been dealt with lots of times on the forum - but what it means is that the bank has obtained a delay before putting in their defence.

They now have 28 days from the date of the orginal service of the claim to file a defenceicon.
If they do that, you will be sent a copy of it with an allocation questionnaire.

It beats me why they do this.

They have so many of these cases and they always use the same defence that I am surprised that they don't by now have an oiled mechanism for turning these claims round within a few days.

Please don't pm me about specific questions unless you have posted and it has not been dealt with or unless the matter is confidential.
Please include a link to the post you want me to look at. If you have received a defence, contact me.

Strikes me that it's probably deliberate and an attempt at damage limitation.

39 days to cough up Data Protection Act info, rebuttal of initial request, rebuttal of lbaicon, acknowledgement of service, submission of defence, all designed to gain time in the hope that the claimant will

    forget
    lose interesticon
    lose patience
    move house
    get married
    get divorced
    fail to stump up fees
    panic
    win the lottery

in fact anything that means the claim will be dropped.

Surely, that's all they can hope for, isn't it?

As you and others constantly remind us, we have to be firm in our resolve and, above all, patient.

    Onwards and upwards

I imagine, with the delays on some payouts, someone will eventually go through all of these before they get their money - and still get their money before the bank enters the courtroom lol
