Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi all im new here and i had already sent a letter basically saying give me my money back but did not request the list for the last 6 years, they have since sent me a letter back saying that i have had charges of £1916 in the last 6 years and that they relise the time/effort in going to court ect ect and therefore have offered me £1600.
Should i write back and claim back my £1916 + 8% APR as stated or have i missed the boat on that one.
I wish i had found this site earlier.
Any advice and templates would be highly appreciated.
blimey they done all the hard work for you by the looks of it, as you havent gone through the correct procedure i would suggest you take the money and run! or you'll have to go back to the start and that will take some time!
I QUESTION THEREFORE I AM!!
Unfortunately i'm not an expert in any given field legally and my advice and that of the Consumer Action Group and the Bank Action Group is given without prejudice and without liability so please if in any doubt whatsoever seek help from an insured qualified professional. You don't include the 8% until you file a court claim..
Start by sending the preliminary letter, tell them that you accept the £1600 as an interim payment and will pursue them for the rest. They'll probably withdraw the offer, so after 14 days send the lba asking for the full amount.
